Relazione del carissimo Federico Badoaro ritornato ambasciatore della ser.ma reg.ca di Venenzia da Carlo V imperatore e da Philippo di Spagna suo figliolo, l'anno 1557, 1585.

Report given by Bodoaro after returning to Venice from France where he visited the Emperor Charles V and his son Philip II of Spain in 1557. He reported on the steps towards peace that have been made between the Habsburgs, the King of France, and the Turks. He reported on Charles and Philip. He talked about their corruption, their selfish attitudes, and the powers and lands they controlled. He discussed the form of government abopted by these two men and how they organized their courts. He then described the impact of the Habsburg-Valois wars on the land and cities of France to show how the prosperity of that country was damaged by war. Badoer als reported on the treatment of religious minorities in France, and he gave information about the armies in France including the available supplies and how long they could support the forces. The manuscript was copied in 1585.
